TN NAACP ORGANIZES FAYETTE COUNTY

The TN State Conference NAACP is working with Area Director, Monroe Woods and Community Leaders in Fayette County to support the cause of Mr. Miles Wilson, past superintendent of Fayette County District in his fight againt the injustice of a majority white board who illegally remove him at the Dec. 2009 board meeting. This community needs the help of the NAACP to bring together members from across the county. This school district is still under a desegration suit from 1963. There is simply no reason why this suit should not be settled after almost 50 yrs. The African American community in Fayette County must stand up and stand together to fight for the justice that is due them. We are soliciting the help and support of all progressive thinkers and people of good will to support Mr. Wilson's efforts to achieve justice. We need your show of support at the Fayette County School Board Meeting on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Fayette Ware High School at 6:30 pm. The next community organizing meeting will be on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the House of Faith Fellowship Building on Hwy 76. See You There! COME & BE A PART OF PROGRESS!
